Practice and attitude of general people are needed to be changed to improve health and development status through behavior change communication. This programme needs advocacy, social mobilisation and BCC materials. Eminence has proved itself in advocacy and social mobilisation by arranging various types of activity like workshops for the policy makers, media coverage and activated the society by making different types of activist involved in different type of welfare programme. Eminence develops materials for handbooks, leaflets, directories, posters and short films to take positive steps for behavioral change of community people.
PREVIOUS ACTIVITIES 1. Observing “World Diabetes Day 2008”. A wider communication and networking strategies were taken to attaint the objectives of the program that gave the assurance of maximum coverage of area and population. To ensure a successful observance of World Diabetes Day 2008 following events were arranged 2. Secure Nutritious diet for Children. A National Round Table Discussion was arranged at VIP Lounge, National Press Club, Dhaka on 30th October 2008. A National Media Consultation Workshop was held at Meeting Room 1, IDB Bhaban, Dhaka on 1st November 2008. 3. Fact Sheet on Non Communicable Diseases, World Health Organization, 2008. This course was designed to ensure participants to conceptualize the problems of occupational health and methods of effective health intervention during any emergency crisis of the staff of Save the Children, USA. 4. Developing Program Implementation guideline on Software Component for Environmental Sanitation, Hygiene and Water Supply in Urban Slums and Fringes Project for CARE Bangladesh, 2007 5. Development of Essential Handbook for the Health Staff of Save the Children (USA) on 2005. 6. Handbook of Occupational Health for Save the Children (USA) on 2005. 7. Training Manual on Adolescent Health for Save the Children (USA) on 2005 8. Training Manual for Communication Skill Development of Save the Children ( USA) on 2004
ADVOCACY Breastmilk and IYCF Promotion Forum (BIPF): Eminence has organized a national forum in collaboration with thirty national and international organizations through which activists have been working in national as well as local level. for promoting, suuporting and protecting breastfeeding and complementary feeding. Inaddition, this forum is monitoring the violation of International code of marketing of Breastmilk Substitutes. Eminence is also devoted organizing dissemination seminars, workshops and scientific meetings. The organization has educated and enthusiastic personnel having English, Sociology, Public Health, Health Management, Environmental science, Public Administration, Food and Nutrition background.
